How do we connect in Covid 19, as artists and creatives? How can I make income, and in a market or collective setting?

Covid 19 – Zoom as platform.

I  was researching on artist that convey my concept or idea which is to provide income for artist whilst socializing at the same time and found the master Pieces website.

The Master pieces  is a collective  set up by  Sam Hoffman and Joesephine Kim, both majoring in advertising to promote artists who are struggling during the COVID-19 pandemic. This is a fun way to add fun to zoom meetings and supporting artist during the COVID-19 pandemic. The background art has been design by artists and can be downloaded from a site called the Meeting Masterpieces, where people can also donate to the artists or charity of their own choice. They began by reaching out to artist they know as well as contacts on Instagram leading to a turn over of people in others cities and globally to be involved.

They started by calling for small projects which spark interest and few brands creating zoom backgrounds. Artists can either receive direct payments straight to their personal Venmo/Paypal accounts, or they can recommend a suggested charity donation.

“What started as an internal initiative to spark joy has really grown into something global, which is inspiring. It has been a really rewarding project to work on and we’ve gotten the chance to collaborate with artists of all mediums. My favorite part has been seeing people connect and support one another from all over the world and across various industries during a time where we must be physically distant”.

Master Piece’s Website

The website is quite direct and simple, the language is simple asking questions that are casual and formal. This is more about a collective project – whilst mine comes under commercial space with the market.

The platform they communicate on is Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin,. email, and Twitter. In a recent interview with Jack Eltife for the University of Texas, they had 70 Facebook fans, 197 Twitter follower and 518 subscribers.

From their website their audience target was global, so I assume they will be advertising on a wide range of platforms involving Tiktok, Snapchat, Pinterest and Youtube.

Tiktok for instance has 500 million active users world wide, with 40%  aged 19-24 years, 5.3millon down  load snap chat and is in the 10 most popular apps worldwide, 322million monthly uses pinterest. You tube over…. Watch so if they had done it it will be great.
