I decided I needed to look at other inspiration for the logo besides looking at existing logos and what I liked about them. I wanted to find inspiration from elsewhere and try and find a way to bring it onto my logo so it has more meaning.

Marie Antoinette is a great reference for French macarons. I love the colour pallet, the over the top aspect and the prints, embellishments and decorative style.

While researching Marie Antoinette film, I came across the Grand Budapest Hotel. This Wes Anderson film has absolutely beautiful colours and props. I love the styling of the sweet shop Mendl’s – I am wondering if I could pull inspiration from this aesthetic.
Also, what I found the most beautiful part was the hand drawn quality – it makes the image more special and unexpected.

After looking into The Grand Budapest Hotel film I thought it would be cool to bring in the stamp or letter concept into the logo. This way it could be be symbolic of a special, handwritten note or package to someone special.
