For the random paring exercise I used the Creative Combinations – The random pairing machine. The random generator would pair an adjective with a noun. Some of the pairs I got were: Normal Taste, Delightful Jail, Humble Fishing, Acceptable Exploitation, Strict Rabbit, Bitter Mining and Front Order.
What I found interesting during this exercise was the emotion that the random combination of words. Sometimes the words immeaditely made me feel calm, or angry or confused.
I also found that during this exercise I would automatically see colours. When the words are together I can see a colour pallet of the wording.
Some of the words made me think of an image or scene I have seen in the past, in a film or imagination. Others were more confused.
This was an interesting process. I think it is helpful to loosen up the ideas and let things fall onto the page.
