The peer feedback was really useful. One of the key points noted was that I could use both logos for different things because they have similar elements to link them together. I do really like the face option however the secondary logo I feel is not very clear. I think having one more simple and longer would be useful. So I have been working on developing a secondary logo that keeps the same concept as the first one, but is more simple.

I do like the swirling line of text idea. It goes with the icing oozing out of the macaron and plays with the curved text in the face logo. However the way it is done here is really weird to read.

I am quite liking this as a more simplified secondary logo. It still links back well to the first logo but it more simplified. I like the rippling text, it reminds me of the rippling icing.

I have also been thinking a print to go with the logo would be nice for the overall identity and tie all the collateral together. I have been exploring spots (because they look like the top of a macaron) and the stripe (because it looks like the french tee shirt in the face logo). I have also played with stripes into the spots.
My particular favourite is the stripe at the bottom right. It is clean and simple. It looks like a hand drawn stripe and and icing squiggle so I think it works nicely.
