Starting on my Character

I have begun making a low poly character, it’s been difficult trying to remember the keyboard shortcuts in Maya so I wasn’t that efficient only completing the chest portion.

Here is a timelapse of my work today:

It’s maybe not exactly what I was looking for, but I know that I will change this model around a lot to incorporate more of a stocky figure so it’s not all bad I suppose.

I ran into a few issues with just weird things happening, but I think for the most part it looks like a chest at least.



  1. I like your time lapse clip, it’s cool to see how you are modelling your character. I find weird things happen too but eventually I work out that I have the wrong setting or I have inadvertently selected vertices I didn’t mean to then things get really weird!
