I have just been messing around, trying to make a rough design of some of the thumbnails I liked. I really like the way the circle logos have turned out but I think I prefer the ones that have the cow heads, as thats what the vet specialises in.
I am going to keep making these until I find one I really like. I think I will try and combine some of the ideas I really like. I also want to focus on the typography and test out a few different options rather than sticking with the same basic, square fonts.
I haven’t looked into colour palettes too much as I want to focus on the actual logo first. I’m not too sure if I want to keep the gumboot or maybe leave it out (as I’m writing this I have just had the idea to put an animal shape into the gumboot, so I will try and see how that looks and add it on into my next blog post).
Looking at the logo designs I have right now, I think they look quite basic, so I am going to try and spice them up and try and digitalise some more of my thumbnails.
So that is my update for today, I’m really enjoying digitalising my thumbnails as I know what I’m trying to create and I can work towards that, rather than just having to make something up on the spot. I think the thumbnails are really helping this process, so it’s definitely something I will start to do more often.
