I have started my idea generating process. Im really happy with how many ideas I was able to come up with using this method. Since learning this method during project 1 it has become a crucial part of my planning process for logo designs.
I really like the idea of having the type curved around the main focal point but I also like the way that splitting the type into two lines and placing under the logo.
So I have started to sketch the designs out, but I am finding it difficult to get the designs right as if I put a line in the wrong place the design wont look right. I think this is something I should do in illustrator as lines can be adjusted. I have attached a picture to show you what I mean.
I think that thumbnail sketches are important but I think that when it comes to geometric shapes I think it is personally easier and more practical to do it straight into illustrator.
Because I found working on paper for this thumbnail process quite difficult I decided to give it a go on my iPad and I think it has turned out a whole lot better. I have started to expand on my sketches so I can have a clearer visual on what the finished logo is going to look like if I place the type in a certain way. I would definitely prefer to have the fox tail as I think that is a very distinguishable part of the fox, but I am not sure if I want to show the body or just have the head of the fox.
I am a bit nervous with my design because my client doesn’t want any scissors in her logo but I think that it is a very crucial part of the hairdressing industry?
