About me
I’m a full time house-trucker and student in the Bachelor of Arts and Design programme at NMIT. Originally from Whanganui-a-tara (Wellington), I am an 8th generation Kiwi of Irish and English ancestory.
I am inspired by artists like Käthe Kollwitz (1867 – 1945) and her powerful woodcuts, sketches and sculptures representing greif, suffering and death. I am most ‘at home’ in New Zealand nature; particularly the native bush.
I love the scent of a freshly bathed baby’s head…perhaps it is the blend of baby powder and soap, but there is nothing quite like nuzzling into their downy hair when they are swaddled in a towel, relaxed and (hopefully) sleepy before bedtime.
