What IS Lens Based Media- or, how do I spend my Fridays afternoons?

What is Lens Based Media?

LBM encompasses all media created from behind a lens- photos, videos etc- as well as several other kinds of media, such as the sonargraph or computer generated animation.

This semester, we are focusing on moving imagery.  Moving imagery is a series of images, or “frames,” which usually include sound. Because our eyes can only process 10-12 images per second, when we are shown frames at faster rates than this, we see them as movement.

I’m super exited to learn to create GIFs and cinemagraphs! I did some basic stop motion at a kid but never got very technical. So happy to be learning these skills! 😀
