The power of simplicity

In a world plagued by shortened attention span, we keep hearing about the importance to keep it short and simple. So I will do just that.

Jewelry Collection stop motion by Nora Fay Vega

Stop motion brings back memories of old childhood animation movies, of “special effects” that we would now call obsolete but that back then kept us glued to the screen.

Call me old fashioned, but I yearn for the complex simplicity of those short format movies that took months, even years, to film. There is something passionate, visceral and grounding about the thought of someone touching and carefully positioning every hand-crafted element of every frame to build each scene.

The passion and humor, combined with a sightly unpolished feel, would make a “home-made” stop motion a really good fit for the Fēnix Constructs brand.
