    Kintsugi: The Art of Embracing Flaws

    Kintsugi is a Japanese art of putting pieces of broken pottery back together with gold — built on the assertion that one can make an even better, more beautiful piece of art by accepting flaws and imperfections. Every break is unique, and instead of repairing an item like a new one, the 400-year-old technique actually highlights the “scars” as part of the design. Use this as a metaphor for restoring ourselves teaches us an essential lesson: sometimes in the process of repairing things that have broken down, we actually create something more unique, beautiful and resilient.     Artist on the Rise: Jithin James

    Jithin James is a creative innovator, street photography enthusiast and illustration expert. He is 26 years old, born and raised in Kerala, India. Kerala is known for beautiful greenery, beaches, mountains, hill station etc. which has played a huge part in his design journey. Jordan Grimmer, Alena Tkach, Joey Chou are some of his design inspiration and he follows them religiously. Jithin is also fond of sci-fi movies. Some of his favorites include Avengers: Infinity War, Blade Runner, Star Wars etc.
